This intensive 9-day fast track Day Skipper course combines both the Day Skipper
Shorebased and Day Skipper Practical courses.
On Arcsine this takes place aboard the yacht for all 9-days, allowing the theoretical side of
the syllabus to be covered before it is required in the practical work. This allows flexibility
to make best use of the weather and the experience of each candidate. The theory assessment
is a combination of continual assessment plus two written test papers. This is a great way to
learn the theory and immediately put it into practise.
The fee includes all food except 4 dinners ashore and all safety equipment, unlike most
schools your accommodation is provided onboard for the whole course, so no extra hotel
accomodation. Waterproofs and sleeping bags can be hired.
By the end of this course, you should feel confident to skipper a small yacht in familiar
waters by day.
